Washing and caring for percale
Soft, breathable, and durable: Percale is a high-quality cotton fabric with a particularly tight weave. Its slightly cooling properties ensure a good night's sleep, especially in the summer months. Both flat sheets, fitted sheets, and pajamas can be machine washed at up to 40°C – ideally with a mild, liquid detergent for delicates or colors . Only load the washing machine drum with items of similar color and fabric quality. Please avoid washing heavy fabrics such as jeans with rivets or zippers – these could damage the fabric.
Percale feels best hung on the line. For a smoother finish, shake out the damp laundry before hanging it up and gently stretch it into shape . Alternatively, you can tumble dry it at low to medium temperatures.
Tip: Light wrinkles can be quickly ironed out if necessary – ideally while the fabric is still slightly damp.
