Josha Lohrengel is an interdisciplinary artist from Kassel, Germany, who enjoys translating culinary themes into art and design. He loves simple illustrations, often paired with typography. He enjoys completing a work by making it wearable on clothing.

We call our socks "Super Sustainable Socks" for a reason. Our socks are free of polyamide and polyester , making them super sustainable. We don't even use synthetic fibers for the connecting seams, as is usually the case. Unlike conventional socks, ours are made from 97% Fairtrade organic cotton and 3% elastane. This is a type of elastane that is environmentally friendly. Our socks also offer a super comfortable, seamless feel because they are hand-linked and feel soft against your skin.

MELA is Hindi and stands for “acting together”. All MELA products are 100% Fairtrade Cotton, GOTS and Green Button certified.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard):
We only use 100% Indian organic cotton, which is certified according to the strict environmental and social standards of GOTS.
Fairtrade Cotton Standard:
All our cotton is Fairtrade certified and traceable back to the farms. The farmers receive fair minimum prices and social and environmental standards are guaranteed.
Green Button:
Our products bear the state seal of the Green Button, which places strict requirements on the entire production and company, including 46 demanding social and environmental criteria.
