Description

Our towels are made from 100% organic cotton terry cloth. The material feels pleasantly soft and is absorbent. A reinforced selvage and the practical cotton hanger complete the workmanship. TANVI is available in three sizes – as a guest towel (30 × 50 cm), as a classic towel (50 × 100 cm), and as a generous bath towel (70 × 140 cm).

We recommend washing these towels at 40°C. We advise against using a tumble dryer. Lower washing temperatures and air drying save energy and can also help preserve the material and shape.

Sustainability

All MELA textiles are certified according to Fairtrade Cotton, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and the Green Button (Grüner Knopf). These three certifications address different points in our supply chain and complement each other in their social and environmental requirements.

Fairtrade Cotton stands for a Fairtrade minimum price and premium for cotton farmers, as well as requirements for labor rights and environmental protection in cotton cultivation.

GOTS sets ecological and social requirements for processing from raw material to finished textile, including standards for chemicals, wastewater, and working conditions.

The Green Button combines requirements for production with the verification of our corporate due diligence.
