MELA's fitted sheets are triple-certified according to the Fairtrade Cotton, Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and Grüner Knopf (Green Button) standards. In our opinion, the social and ecological aspects of these standards complement each other perfectly, allowing us to confidently speak of holistically sustainable textiles.

Through the Fairtrade Cotton Standard, we ensure compliance with social criteria in raw material sourcing. Great emphasis is placed on fair remuneration for cotton farmers. With every MELA item purchased, you support Indian cotton cooperatives with a Fairtrade premium. In addition, MELA is part of the new Fairtrade Textile Standard and advocates for living wages throughout the entire supply chain.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) ensures that only ecologically optimized substances are used throughout the entire supply chain – from cotton cultivation to fabric dyeing – and that social standards are met. This is monitored by independent certification bodies.
Additionally, this article is certified according to the state-backed textile label Grüner Knopf (Green Button), which verifies social and environmental criteria at both product and company levels.
