Shorts with Elastic Waist RILA

The shorts with an elastic waistband are your stylish yet comfortable companion. A wide leg and two side pockets increase comfort. Made from a light but very dimensionally stable cotton ripstop, the pants are characterized by their special weave. The so-called "mathematical box structure" makes the fabric particularly robust and tear-resistant and is a sustainable alternative to conventional nylon ripstop.

To avoid conventional synthetic fibers, we do not use elastane in cuffs and hems, for example. As a result, these areas may stretch slightly during wear and contract again after washing.

We recommend washing these shorts at 30 °C on a gentle cycle and air drying them. We advise against using a tumble dryer. Lower washing temperatures and air drying save energy and can simultaneously protect the material and shape.

All MELA textiles are certified according to Fairtrade Cotton, the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and the Green Button (Grüner Knopf). These three certifications focus on different parts of our supply chain and complement each other in their social and environmental requirements.
